A patient came to Time Dental in Farnham today looking to close the gap between her upper front teeth. She had orthodontic braces as a teenager and her teeth were once straight but now they had drifted and a space had opened up between her upper front teeth.
On assessing her, we also noted that she had mild crowding by her back premolar teeth and she also had crowding of her lower front teeth which she was not as bothered about.
We discussed her various options for straightening her crooked teeth. One option would be to have fixed orthodontic braces for her upper and lower teeth. This could be your traditional train-track braces. This may involve metal brackets or even white brackets.
Another option would be to use invisible braces like the Invisalign clear aligner braces system. This uses a series of clear aligners to move the teeth over a period of 8-24 months depending on what movements need to be achieved. The adult braces are virtually invisible which makes it a great option for adults who are looking to straighten their smile.
The new Inman aligner is a further option. This again is a removable orthodontic brace that can move teeth in a matter of weeks to help straighten your smile. It uses special springs that help squeeze the teeth into the desired position gently and quickly.
Time Dental provides the Invisalign service for patients in the Fleet, Alton, Farnborough, Farnham area as well as the surrounding areas of Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex. Call us to find out how we can help you to straighten your teeth with adult braces.
