I had been unhappy with my smile for some time so when Time Dental introduced Six Month Smiles as one of their new adult braces systems I felt sure now was the time for me to take action!
I like that it is a fixed brace discreet in its appearance that can move both my upper and lower teeth at the same time in what I think is a reasonably short period of time.
The first two weeks were the most challenging my teeth became tender as they were adjusting, my gums and lips sore from rubbing on the brackets and eating was initially difficult. But by simply taking paracetamol or ibuprofen, using my dental wax and sticking to a softer diet things quickly became more manageable and with time eased.
Now I only occasionally have an odd day where one or two of my teeth may be tender for a short time, my gums and lips are now used to my braces and very rarely rub at all and now my eating is almost as it was before apart from avoiding the recommended foods.
All in all my braces are relatively comfortable and discreet, and after only one month I can already see that things are moving!
