Do you find that crooked, misaligned or gaps between your teeth make you feel very self-conscious? We have many patients who come to see us and say they often smile with their lips tightly shut and often don’t smile at all. Crooked teeth also makes it harder to keep the teeth and gums clean, meaning you are more susceptible to gum disease and in severe cases can lead to tooth loss.
Teeth straightening is a team apporach
At Time Dental, your initial consultation will include discussion on what you want to achieve with your smile and what the most important outcome is. After the clinical assessment, digital photographs are taken and your dentist will recommend an initial treatment plan which will cover all your options. Once you have decided what type of treatment you want to go for, your next appointment will be the records appointment.
Digital planning
At the records appointment a full orthodontic assessment is carried out which also includes a pan-oral scan and a set of impressions taken of your teeth. These are sent to the orthodontic laboratory where they digitally scan your models and with measurements and digital software provide a preview of what your final result will look like. So you get to see the end result before you have even started the orthodontic treatment!
