In the last couple of years there have been some huge advances in techniques and materials for adult orthodontics. This means that dentists can now provide more options to help give you the smile that you want.
A couple of decades ago, only the rich and famous were able to afford cosmetic dental treatment and orthodontic braces. Teeth were being heavily prepared for crowns, options were limited and very expensive.
Things have certainly changed since then. At Time Dental we use the latest techniques and computer imagery to help give you the most modern treatment options for adult orthodontic treatment.
We are delighted to offer adult orthodontics in Fleet at Time Dental. All the orthodontic systems that we use have a computer imaging system that allows you to see your end result before even having the orthodontic braces fitted.
This means you get to visually see what your smile is going to look like and helps the dentist plan your treatment even more accurately.
What adult orthodontic options are there?
At Time Dental, we provide four types of systems that work in different ways and are used for different clinical situations. The Inman aligner, Invisalign clear aligners, discreet lingual braces and clear fixed braces.
What type of treatment will work for me?
Time Dental have carried out hundreds of cases for adult orthodontics. So they know what works and how to achieve the best result. The best thing to do is have a consultation with our dentist. Photographs and an assessment is carried out and you will be advised which option you will be suitable for your specific case.
Popular treatments are Invisalign clear aligners and clear fixed brackets.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a very discreet orthodontic treatment. It uses custom fit clear aligners that incrementally move your teeth into the desired position. Each aligner is worn for two weeks and then changed to a new one. The benefit of Invisalign is that it is very discreet; you can easily keep your teeth and gums clean during treatment; and you can generally eat whatever you normally eat.
